Dublin petrol bomb attack being investigated

A house in Clonsilla, Dublin was badly damaged in a fire thought to have been caused by a petrol bomb.

A house in Clonsilla, Dublin was badly damaged in a fire thought to have been caused by a petrol bomb.

The fire broke out shortly after midnight in the house at Willow Wood Grove.

Gardaí believe it was caused by a petrol bomb being thrown through a sitting room window.

As yet their is no known motive for the attack, but paramilitary involvement has been ruled out.

No-one was in the house at the time of the fire.

Garda technical experts have preserved the scene for further examination.
