David Curran (19) of Lissadel Green, Drimnagh and Seán Keogh (21) of Vincent Street West, Inchicore are charged with the murders of Pawel Kalite (29) and Marius Szwajkos (27) on Benbulben Road in Drimnagh on February 23, 2008.

The prosecution had just finished making its opening statement when the judge made the decision after consulting both sides in the absence of the jury.
