Two men from Clondalkin, Co Dublin, were arrested and £2,750 was recovered after a raid on the Bank of Ireland in Cappoquin, Co Waterford, yesterday.

The raid occurred shortly before 3 p.m. when two men armed with screwdrivers and wearing motorcycle helmets demanded cash. When the two men left the bank they were confronted by armed gardai and arrested. The two men were helping gardai with their inquiries last night.
