A 49 YEAR OLD Dublin man will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today charged with making a hoax bomb alert at the city's airport one day after the IRA bombed its main railway line.

Manchester police said the man was arrested on Thursday and has been held in custody until today's hearing. He is charged with communicating information which he knew or believed to be false with the intention of duping a person or persons into believing that a holdall held a bomb.
