A house in the Rose Park area of Dún Laoghaire was evacuated around 10.30 pm last night after a suspect device was found under a van.

The Army's explosives ordnance disposal (EOD) unit was contacted and later declared the device a hoax.

A second suspect device was discovered attached to a van parked in Glenties Park in Finglas at around the same time on Tuesday evening.

The EOD team was called and the device was also found to be a hoax.
