Gardaí seized drugs valued at an estimated €270,000 during searches in Dublin today.

Gardaí from Finglas and Blanchardstown drugs units, supported by local gardaí, searched at houses in the Finglas area this afternoon.

Some 25,000 ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value €250,000 were seized with 3 kgs of herbal cannabis valued at €20,000.

Two men, aged 22 and the 47, were arrested and are being detained under

Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Finglas and Cabra Garda Stations.

They can be held for up to seven days.
