A suspicious package is being examined at the Dublin Civic Offices.
An Army bomb disposal team is attending the scene at Wood Quay. Gardaí and members of the fire service are also present.
A Garda spokesman said the force was notified about the situation at 9.45am. The area has been evacuated.
