Up to seventy people were evacuated from a bus in Dublin this morning after a fire broke out in the engine.

Up to seventy people were evacuated from a bus in Dublin this morning after a fire broke out in the engine.

Passengers were forced to leave the Dublin Bus vehicle travelling from Maynooth to Dublin shortly before 7am after the driver saw smoke coming from the side engine.

Three fire crews were sent to the scene in Lucan, and the small fire was brought under control within minutes. No injuries were reported.
