Irish aircraft maintenance group Dublin Aerospace has confirmed it has landed a five-year contract with British low cost airline EasyJet, creating 50 jobs.

The company, which has a hangar facility at Dublin Airport, will provide landing gear maintenance for EasyJet's Airbus fleet and will also provide other checks on nine of the airline's aircraft.

The new jobs will bring the company's workforce to 220 by the end of this winter.

This will involve a $5 million investment in Dublin Aerospace's facilities here and the creation of a "significant" number of new jobs.
