Officers working on an intelligence led operation discovered more than 100kg of herbal cannabis, resin and pollen at a business premises in Slane this afternoon.

Two men in their 40s were arrested and are being detained at Kells Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking ) Act 1996.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit, Organised Crime Unit and Revenue Customs Service assisted in the operation.
