Gardaí have recovered drugs with a street value of €220,000 following a search of a house in north Kerry last night.
Gardaí from Listowel discovered a large number of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €220,000 during the search. A small quantity of cannabis herb was also recovered.
Gardaí arrested a man in his thirties at the scene. He was detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Listowel Garda Station.
In a follow-up operation a woman aged in her 20s was also arrested and detained at Tralee Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
The investigation is ongoing.
