Drugs with a street value of over €500,000 were seized by gardaí in Co Louth last night.

The cannabis herb, cannabis resin and ecstasy tablets were discovered during the search of a house at Farm Road, Adamstown, Dunleer, Castlebellingham.

Gardaí found ammunition at the scene but they made no arrests.

The seizure was part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Co Louth area.
