Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of ecstasy and cannabis worth an estimated €80,000 in Drogheda.
Gardaí discovered 8,000 ecstasy tablets and a kilo of herbal cannabis during a search at a premises in the Mell area of the town yesterday afternoon. A handgun was also recovered.
Two men - aged 21 and 29 - were arrested and are being held for questioning at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
