Co Louth gardai have launched a murder investigation followiing the discovery of a man with stab wounds in the garden of his house last night.

Detectives this afternoon revealed post mortem results which showed the 32-year-old man originally from Romania as a result of stab wounds.

He was found at around 11 pm last night at Brookville, Drogheda and taken to the Lourdes Hospital where death was pronounced.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
