Gardaí are looking for the driver of a car involved in a two-crash that left two people dead in Co Louth early this morning.

The Northern-registered Audi was involved in a head on collission at Annaloughanon the Dundalk to Carlingford Road shortly before 3am.

David Keenan (17) from Culfore, Mountpleasant, Co Louth, a front-seat passenger in the Audi, and 64-year-old George Campbell of  Annaloughan, Jenkinstown, Co Louth, the driver of the other car, were killed. Both were taken to the morgue in Louth County Hospital.

A female back-seat passenger in the Audi was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where she is in critical condition.
