A Co Tyrone man driving a large mobile crane on the North's M1 had consumed more than four times the legal alcohol limit, Cookstown Magistrates` Court has been told. Mr Philip Atwell (36), of Bush Road, Dungannon, was arrested after he narrowly missed hitting a police car parked on the hard shoulder. The magistrate, Mr Maurice McHugh, adjourned the case for a report from the probation service. Mr Atwell admitted charges of driving with excess alcohol, driving while disqualified and without insurance.
