The mysterious deaths of dozens of wild birds in and around a housing estate in Athlone, Co Westmeath, over the past week is being investigated by the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Birds are literally dropping out of the sky around Tormey Villas in Athlone, according to local residents.
