Mostar - Dozens of people were hurt, at least one seriously, when a powerful carbomb exploded in the flashpoint city of Mostar - the first time such a weapon has been used in Bosnia.

As the southern city reeled in shock, the regional Croat police chief, Mr Valentin Coric, told reporters: "This attack was the work of professionals. The place was carefully chosen and the consequences catastrophic."
