London - An inquiry began last night into how a family GP was able to carry out a series of sex assaults on patients undetected over a 17-year period. Yesterday, Dr Peter Green was jailed for eight years for nine assaults on male patients.
A Nottingham Crown Court jury heard how Green would get young men to masturbate in front of him at his Loughborough surgery, or would carry out the act for them, after telling them that they were infertile and that he was doing research.
