LAGOS - A German female diplomat posted to Lagos was kidnapped and then raped on February 23rd in the city, by a group of five armed men, the German embassy said yesterday.
The abduction took place as "she was leaving for the airport on her way to Germany for a holiday. The men forced her outs of her car and then drove her away with them. On the way, they abducted another woman an African.
The two women were found the next morning in the trunk of the kidnappers' car. They had been raped repeatedly, German embassy officials said.
