The first woman rector in the Church of Ireland diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross was instituted at a ceremony in School, Co Cork, last night.
The Rev Hilary Wakeman, who will serve as rector of the Kilmoe union of parishes, was ordained in 1994.
