Police in Derry appealing to the public for information after an explosive device was thrown at a house in the city.

Police in Derry appealing to the public for information after an explosive device was thrown at a house in the city.

The incident happened at 11.15pm when a masked person threw the object at the house in the Glenbank Road area.

A police spokeswoman said the object exploded causing extensive damage to the building.

The house was vacant at the time and no one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
