The Belfast train line has reopened following a security alert in Lurgan, Co Armagh, this morning.

The Belfast train line has reopened following a security alert in Lurgan, Co Armagh, this morning.

The security alert came after a suspicious object was found near the rail line at Lake Street in Lurgan. After examination, police declared it a hoax.

Iarnród Éireann and Northern Ireland's Translink had earlier set up bus transfers to cater for rail passengers affected.

Last week, a number of security alerts caused disruption in the North after a number of suspicious objects were reported.
