Brussels - NATO yesterday confirmed the arrest in Bosnia of the former deputy commander of a detention camp who is wanted for crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

A NATO communique named the detained man as Mr Dragoljub Prcac, who was deputy commander at the Omarska detention camp, near Prijedor, where many nonSerb Bosnians were forcibly interned at the start of the Bosnian war in 1992.
