Police investigating the murder of a Derry man in the city last year have carried out a number of searches in relation to the inquiry.

Pizza delivery man Emmett Shiels, 22, was shot dead in the Creggan area of Derry on June 24th, 208, when he became involved in an altercation with masked men. Police said he was an innocent victim.

The PSNI carried out searches of four premises in Creggan and Galliagh, seizing a number of items which were removed for examination. No arrests were made.
