Delaney case jury is sent to hotel

The jury in the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering another man in a drugs row will resume its deliberations today

The jury in the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering another man in a drugs row will resume its deliberations today. Mr Joseph Delaney (53), of La Rochelle, Naas, Co Kildare, has pleaded not guilty to the charge that he, with his son Scott Delaney, murdered Mr Mark Dwyer (23) on or about December 14th, 1996. He has also denied falsely imprisoning Mr Dwyer. The jury retired at 4.06 p.m.

yesterday. Mr Justice Barr recalled it at 7.57 p.m. and sent the members to a hotel for the night.
