The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the families of two Irish men who died  in Greece and France.

Police in Paris have begin an investigation after a body of Paul Hogan (20) was recovered from a river outside the city yesterday.

Mr Hogan is believed to be from Limerick.

On Monday, another Irish man died in hospital in Greece as a result of head injuries received during an assault.

The man, believed to be from the Dublin area, received a blow to the head after a street row broke out last week.
