Tehran - Iran's supreme court has upheld a death sentence against Iranian journalist Morteza Firuzi, convicted of spying for France, Japan and South Korea and adultery, a newspaper said yesterday.

"The supreme court has rejected an appeal from Firuzi," the former editor-in-chief of the English-language newspaper Iran News, the conservative daily Resalat said.
