The death has occurred of Sally Walker, widow of former Irish Timeschairman, the late Ralph Walker.
Ms Walker, who was in her 95th year, was a leading horticulturalist and the family gardens in Fernhill, Sandyford, attracted many visitors after the Walkers moved there in 1934.
Ralph Walker, a former senior partner at Hayes and Sons solicitors, was chairman of The Irish Timesfrom 1959 until 1973. He died in 1980.
