A leading church architect, Mr Thomas F. Sheahan (74), of North Circular Road, Limerick, has died after a long illness

A leading church architect, Mr Thomas F. Sheahan (74), of North Circular Road, Limerick, has died after a long illness. Mr Sheahan designed numerous churches, schools, colleges and convents in Ireland, Britain, the US and Africa.

He was also responsible for the renovation of the sanctuaries of the cathedrals in Tralee and Limerick. He is survived by his wife and six children.
