Former ail Monaghan County Council chairman Mr Pat McKenna (FF) died on Wednesday after taking ill at the funeral in Clones of a former council colleague, Mr Frank Caughey of Sinn Fein.
Mr McKenna was taken to Monaghan General Hospital where he died. He is survived by his wife, Mary, sons and daughters.
