Archdeacon Michael Manning (70), parish priest of St Munchin's, Limerick, who has died after a short illness, was a former Dean of St Munchin's College. Born in Glanmire, Co Cork, he was ordained in 1951 at St Patrick's College, Maynooth. A patron of the scout movement, he is survived by a brother and four sisters.
