A libel action by the Minister for Social Welfare, Mr De Rossa, against the Sunday Independent will begin on Tuesday when a jury will be sworn to hear the case.
The hearing of evidence will not begin until Wednesday.
The action arises out of an article written by a columnist, Eamon Dunphy, in the Sunday Independent on December 13th, 1992.
