Irish diversified services group DCC said it won its court of appeal case against Taiwan's Pihsiang Machinery Manufacturing Company and its officers.

The London court struck out the case against DCC who will now pursue the £18.7 million sterling it claims it is owed by the Taiwanese company.

In January the Pihsiang Machinery Manufacturing Company was ordered to pay DCC £12 million plus 8 per cent interest annually after it was found to have breached a supply agreement with a DCC subsidiary.

DCC will now apply to the Taiwanese courts for enforcement of the London High Court judgment.

"This brings a successful end to the main legal proceedings in London and the High Court has recently certified its judgement as final, and binding on and enforceable against each of the three Defendants," DCC said in a statement today.
