A Sligo man who sexually assaulted a young girl over a two year period has been remanded on continuing bail for sentence by the Central Criminal Court on November 22nd.
Mr Justice Peter Shanley made an order directing that the name and address of the 36 year old defendant cannot be published by the media to protect the victim.
The married but separated man pleaded guilty to one charge of sexual assault by attempting oral sex on the now 13 year old girl in or about May, 1994. He also admitted 11 charges of sexually assaulting the girl on dates from October, 1992, to August, 1994.
