John Scott's Intimate Gold, featuring dancers Philip Connaughton and Mariam Ribon (right) will be performed by Irish Modern Dance Theatre in the semi-finals of the prestigious French Bagnolet Choreographic Competition on February 12th in Newcastle. Scott is the only Irish choreographer among the eight companies selected for the UK platform. Intimate Gold was premiered at the 1998 Belfast Festival and later played in Dublin, Cork and on a US tour which included performances at the legendary Danspace in New York.
