Marguerite Donlon from Longford was formerly a soloist with the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. Now, as a free-lance choreographer, her work for Deutsche Oper, Tanz Ensemble Cathy Sharp, the Vienna State Ballet and elsewhere has been highly praised by the German, Swiss and Austrian critics. As part of Anica Louw's annual showcase of the work of LDdance Trust, she has commissioned a short piece from Donlon, which will later be performed in Berlin. She has brought two dancers from Berlin to join the four Irish dancers, Lisa McLoughlin, Becky Reilly, Orla McFeeley and Olwen Grindley, who will perform it at its sole Irish presentation.
