Dame Street in Dublin has reopened to traffic after a fire at a pub forced the road to be closed during rush-hour today.

Dame Street in Dublin has reopened to traffic after a fire at a pub forced the road to be closed during rush-hour today.

Three sections of Dublin Fire Brigade were called out to the Mercantile shortly before 9am this morning following reports of a fire on the premises.

The fire was quickly contained although one unit remains at the pub.

Dublin Fire Brigade said there were no reports of injury.
