The Fianna Fail convenor on the Oireachtas Legislation and Security Committee, Mr Liam Fitzgerald, has asked it to set up a committee of inquiry into the circumstances that led to the "unconstitutional sitting of the Special Criminal Court from August 1st until November 7th 1996."
He has written to committee chairman, Mr Charles Flanagan, on the matter.
