The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) has submitted an application for an 11-story hotel and multi-storey car park linked directly to the new passenger terminal.

The DAA said the proposed €130 million, four-star hotel would have 470 bedrooms and a 2,900-space car park.

The hotel would be operated under InterContinental Hotel's Crowne Plaza brand and would be owned by Irish hotel operator Tifco. The DAA will own the car park.
