Longford murder:A Co Longford family has succeeded in deferring the transfer of a Czech prisoner who was due to return to his home country to complete a murder sentence.

David Brozovsky was 19 when he admitted to the murder of mother of two Sharon Coughlan (37). Her body was discovered at a derelict house in Longford town in September 2007. She had been raped and strangled.

Minister for Justice Alan Shatter met Ms Coughlan’s mother and three sisters regarding the issue yesterday.
