NICOSIA - Cyprus's attorney general yesterday said that due to lack of evidence no action will be taken against policemen suspected of involvement in mob shootings last year.

Mr Alecos Markides announced the decision after almost a year of inquiries into allegations that senior police officers were behind a murder and a murder attempt last year.
