Cyclist dies in Dublin city bus collision

An elderly cyclist died after he was in collision with a bus in Dublin city centre last night.

An elderly cyclist died after he was in collision with a bus in Dublin city centre last night.

The 67-year-old was cycling along Fitzwilliam Square East at around 1am when the collision happened.

Gardai said the pensioner suffered serious injuries and was rushed to St James's Hospital where died a short time later.

It is understood a Dublin Bus vehicle was involved in the accident.

Gardai at Pearse Street are investigating.
