A five-day sponsored cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head to raise money for the Galway-based Breast Cancer Research Institute got under way yesterday. The amateur cyclists, 12 men and four women, hope to raise £70,000 for the installation of a new detection and treatment system, the first of its kind in the State.
