Customs officers in Dublin Port have seized a consignment of three million cigarettes at a truck park in North Co Dublin. A number of suspects have been questioned. The cigarettes were concealed in a consignment of glassware. They had a value of £600,000 with a loss to the Exchequer of £443,966. They were believed to have been for the illegal street trade in the Dublin area and originated in Greece.
