Havana - The trial of a US citizen on charges that he planned armed action and sabotage against the Cuban government was postponed yesterday. In Miami, a lawyer representing the accused man, Mr Walter Van Der Veer, said the postponement had been requested so that he could attend the trial.

The prosecution has said that Mr Van Der Veer (46), a Florida resident who was arrested in Havana in August last year, sought to overthrow the Cuban government.
