HAVANA - Cuba abruptly withdrew the approval it had given Spain's new conservative ambassador for what Havana called "unacceptable interference in its domestic affairs.

Cuba's dramatic decision was prompted by remarks Mr Jose Coderch made to the conservative Spanish daily ABC that he would keep the doors open to dialogue with anti-Castro opposition forces.
