The Hague - The confirmation yesterday of a 10-year prison sentence on a Bosnian Croat militia leader, Anto Furundzija, brings to just four the number of definitive sentences handed out to war crimes suspects in the former Yugoslavia.
Since its creation in 1993, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has officially charged 69 suspects, including Yugoslav President Mr Slobodan Milosevic, Bosnian Serb leader Mr Radovan Karadzic and Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic, all three of whom have yet to be arrested.
