A woman in her 50s has been killed after her car left the road and entered a field near Miltown Malbay in Co.Clare on Friday evening.
The crash happened at about 11pm. The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been removed to Limerick University Hospital where a postmortem examination will be carried out.
The road at the scene is closed for a technical examination.
