Mr Justice Robert Barr congratulates Eilionoir Flynn, winner of the prize for best article in volume 16 of the Irish Student Law Review, watched by chairman of the Council of the King's Inns, Conor Maguire SC.
Her article on the topic, "Community Visitors, Invisible Lives", examined the forgotten recommendations of the Goodbody Report on Developing an Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities.
The article sets out why a community visitor programme is necessary, provides a detailed analysis of the protections afforded to vulnerable adults by rcurrent law and highlights the limitations of the existing legislative regime. The Review is published by King's Inns students.
